Lumière Beauty Bar had a waitlist for appointments it didn’t have the chairs to offer. Amara wanted to convert the back of the studio into two more styling stations, but a salon’s revenue dips in the late-summer lull, and a rigid loan payment landing in those weeks made her nervous.
